Lucas Miotto.

I’m an Associate Professor (Reader) in Law & Philosophy at the University of Surrey.

My research has focused primarily on general jurisprudence, particularly on the relationship between law and coercion. I have published on what makes law coercive, whether law issues threats, and on folk intuitions about the coerciveness of legal systems. I have also done work in experimental jurisprudence, global health and online manipulation. Currently, my main research project concerns the right to science and the ethics of sharing academic knowledge.
